PURPOSE: A method and a system for drying sewage / waste water sludge using a chemical reagent which generates an exothermic chemical reaction and combustible gas by absorbing moisture are provided to effectively decrease a percentage of water content of the sewage / wastewater sludge using a heat of reaction and combustion gas of the combustible gas. CONSTITUTION: A method for drying sewage / waste water sludge using a chemical reagent which generates combustible gas and an exothermic chemical reaction by absorbing moisture comprises: a step of supplying sewage / wastewater; a step(S140) of pulverizing a chemical reagent and measuring the chemical reagent; a step of mixing the sewage / wastewater sludge with the chemical reagent; a step(S180) creating the combustible gas; a step(S190) which collects the created combustible gas and burns the gas; a third drying step(S200) which burns the combustible gas and the dried sludge and supplies the heat to the sewage / wastewater sludge; and a step(S210) of discharging the sewage / wastewater sludge.
