PURPOSE: A handset for a telephone which includes a semi-supporting speaker and a microphone is provided to enable a user to do another work while a user receives a call. CONSTITUTION: If a user takes off his/her hand from a handset while holding the handset, the handset is fixed near an ear or mouth. The handset is fixed while a user receives a call or uses a speaker or microphone. When the user terminates a phone, the handset is placed its original position. A switch is turned on while a user uses the speaker or the microphone. When the user returns the speaker or the microphone in its original place by force, the switch is turned off.
