<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a trigger signal for starting a measurement of a pressure oscillating wave form, by detecting the pressure oscillating wave form generation which is generated within a short time, suppressing an electric power consumption. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A trigger generating device 10 is used for a measuring device 1 which contains an active state measuring at least one of a pressure and a flow rate within a gas flow path, and a non-active state having less electric power consumption than that of the active state. The trigger generating device 10 includes a pressure variation detecting part 11 which detects the pressure variation at the gas flow path 5, and a trigger generation part 12 which generates the trigger signal which urges transition from the non-active state to the active state in the measuring device 1, according to the detection of the pressure variation at the pressure variation detecting part 11.
