<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for preventing heavy metal such as zinc oxide or the like from being discharged into drainage even without providing a drainage purifying layer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for manufacturing rubber chip for ground material includes (A) a process for crushing a rubber material to form rubber chips and (B) a process for treating the rubber chips in an aqueous solution containing acid having high concentration of 0.001 mol/L or more, alkali or complex salt.
