<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance, and to achieve effective power generation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic power generation device comprises hydraulic power generators 1 linearly arranged in a direction orthogonal to a water flow direction A while having a water inlet 2 surface in the water flow direction A of a river or sea, and a holding means for linearly holding the hydraulic power generators 1 in the water. The holding means comprises wires 50-53 linearly arranged, wire hanging tools 10-13 provided on the hydraulic power generator 1 and hung by the wires 50-53 from the upper part so as to support the hydraulic power generators 1, and wire supporting means 30 and 31 fixed in the river or the sea so as to support both ends of the wires 50-53 linearly arranged.
