<p>An elevator door device can detect approach of a user to an elevator door and can make such detection without omission of detection and false detection. A detection device is mounted on a top plate forming the upper edge of an elevator doorway and detects an elevator user present in a predetermined detection area. The area of detection by the detection device is set only for a part of the space which forms the elevator doorway. Based on the result of the detection by the detection device, the elevator door device performs predetermined control such as an announcement for calling attention and door opening and closing operation.</p> |
