The detector (1) has a pressure sensor (30) for detecting a pressure change in a chamber space (20a). A collision detection unit detects collision of a pedestrian to a vehicle bumper (10) based on a result detected by the pressure sensor. An absorber (13) is positioned within the vehicle bumper that is utilized for absorbing an impact. A front surface (21) of a chamber member (20) is positioned at a back of the absorber such that the absorber presses the chamber member during collision. A back of the chamber member is positioned at a front surface of a bumper reinforcement (12).
