PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammering tool having a mechanism for buffering impact force acting in an axial direction of a retainer sleeve with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This hammering tool includes a housing 2, an electric motor 26, reciprocating motion converting parts 37, 38, 39 and 22 for converting rotation of the electric motor 26 into a reciprocating motion, an intermediate element 8 arranged coaxially with the reciprocating motion direction, the retainer sleeve 4 for storing the intermediate element 8, and a metal 5 for holding the housing 2 so that the retainer sleeve 4 may be rotatable. The metal 5 has a shape formed with a circular annular rib spreading to an outer peripheral side at a substantially cylindrical rear end. The retainer sleeve 4 is inserted into an inner peripheral side of the metal 5 and has a large diameter part formed on a rear side with a step part. A circular annular rib projecting to the outside is formed on an outer peripheral side of the large diameter part of the retainer sleeve 4. Damper 6 and washer 7 are interposed between a rear side of the circular annular rib of the metal 5 and the front of the circular annular rib of the retainer sleeve 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
