<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out broader-based forwarding of LAN (local area network) client signals such as 40GbE, 100GbE signals or the like as a parallel signal at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A light transmission system includes: a transmission block, wherein a client light signal transmitted in a parallel form is received to convert the same into an electric signal without changing the number of parallel lanes of the light signal, the transmission block carries out the substitution of the parallel type electrical signal into a transmission frame for the side of a network in the parallel form of the parallel-form electrical signal as it is, and the transmission block carries out code conversion of the parallel signal as needed while performing light modulation of a plurality of light carriers employing pre-encoded signals; and a reception block, wherein the light modulation signal received from the transmission block is separated, and respective separated sub-carrier signals are received to perform the frame processing of the decoded sub-carrier signal while extracting parallel client signals from the transmission frame for the side of the network to convert the same into parallel light signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
