SECTOR CAISSON FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE LARGE UNDERWATER STRUCTURES

A sector caisson for repairing a large-sized underwater structure is provided to reduce size of the caisson and to easily access to the underwater structure by forming the caisson to be floated. A sector caisson for repairing a large-sized underwater structure comprises a bottom member(100), at least one outer buoyancy chamber, a left buoyancy chamber(400), a right buoyancy(500), and a waterproof packing(610). A left and a right side of the bottom member are symmetrically aligned. The bottom member has an arc bottom member waterproof side surface(110) to be contacted with a side surface of the underwater structure. The outer buoyancy chamber is symmetrically placed at an outer part of the bottom member, and forms an outer wall(310) of the bottom member. The buoyancy chamber adjusts buoyancy using water injected inside thereof. The left buoyancy chamber is connected with the outer wall and placed at the left part of the bottom surface to form a left wall(410) of the bottom member. The water is also injected to the left buoyancy chamber but with different water level for the outer buoyancy chamber. The left buoyancy chamber which is a left waterproof wall is contacted to the side surface of the underwater structure, and of which one of wall is connected with the bottom member waterproof side surface. The right buoyancy chamber is connected with the outer wall and symmetrically aligned to the left buoyancy chamber on the right side of the bottom member. The water level injected in the right buoyancy chamber is the same level to the left buoyancy chamber. The right buoyancy chamber which is a right waterproof wall is contacted to the side surface of the underwater structure, and of which one of wall is connected with the bottom member waterproof side surface. The waterproof packing is formed along the left waterproof wall and the right waterproof wall to prevent infiltration of water to an upper part of the bottom surface.
