NOVEL FLUID DISTRIBUTION AND COLLECTION SYSTEM IN MULTISTAGE COLUMN COMPRISING JET BREAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize performance of a distributing/mixing apparatus in a multistage column, which is used for pseudo-moving bed adsorption or the like.

SOLUTION: There is disclosed a fluid distributor 10 in the multistage column. Each plate of the multistage column is divided into a certain number of panels and each panel is equipped with a fluid distributor 10. The fluid distributor 10 comprises (a) a solid jet breaker 9 located substantially in the axis of an outlet opening of a collecting baffle 5 of the panel; (b) an intermediate perforated plate 8 which extends laterally beyond the solid jet breaker 9 and has 10-40% degree of opening; and (c) a distribution plate 7 which extends over the entire panel and has 5-20 degree of opening.
