<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting device, a data transmitting method, a data receiving device, a data receiving method, and a data communication system, which have a higher error correcting capability. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter 10 includes: a table 15 which stores several constellation patterns for performing data retransmission by using constellation rearrangement; and a mapping unit 13 which performs data modulation in accordance with one of the constellation patterns of the table 15. The modulated data is transmitted through a channel 30. The mapping unit 13 uses 16QAM, for example, as a modulation mode and performs modulation by setting bits in a first output bit position and in a second output bit position as bits specifying quadrants of constellation and setting bits in a third output bit position and in a fourth output bit position as bits specifying arrangement in each of the quadrants of the constellation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
