PURPOSE: A backlight unit and backlight driving method of a liquid crystal display is provided to form a group with multiple logic gates, thereby simplifying circuit configuration and reducing circuit damage generation ratio. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit and backlight driving method of a liquid crystal display include a light source unit block(11) and a light source driving unit(12). The light sources block is formed by dividing multiple light sources into same number of light sources. The light source driving unit has delay time and successively turns on/off the light source block. |
