The invention relates to instant turfgrass obtained on a culture medium of a complex structure, made of non-woven textiles, superabsorbent polymer granules and turfgrass seeds for the quick sodding of recreational spaces, football or golf playgrounds etc., consisting of an intermediate layer placed between a base layer and an upper protective layer, which are made of non-woven biodegradable textiles, the three layers being joined to one another by interweaving, the intermediate layer comprising 30...40 g/m2 of turfgrass seeds which are placed uniformly at the optimal distance required for plants to grow, and 25...30g/m2 of superabsorbent granules of chemically-neutral acrylic polymers having a water-absorption capacity ranging between 40 and 800 times and thereby constituting an accessible source for plants, the base layer and the upper layer being obtained by carding, folding and interweaving jute fibers of 24 den/86 mm or flax fibres of 86 den/90 mm. |
