<p>Crosslinkable composition comprises: e.g. 5-50 (preferably 10-25) wt.% of at least a polyamide as component (a); 20-95 (preferably 60-89.5) wt.% of at least an alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer as component (b); 0-30 (preferably 5-15) wt.% of fillers, softeners and/or additives as component (c); and 0.2-10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer (parts per hundred rubber (phr)), preferably 1.5-6 phr of at least a radically crosslinking initiator as component (d). Crosslinkable composition comprises: 5-50 (preferably 10-25) wt.% of at least a polyamide as component (a); 20-95 (preferably 60-89.5) wt.% of at least an alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer as component (b); 0-30 (preferably 5-15) wt.% of fillers, softeners and/or additives as component (c); 0.2-10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer (parts per hundred rubber (phr)), preferably 1.5-6 phr of at least a radically crosslinking initiator as component (d); and 0-10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer (phr), preferably 1-6 phr of at least a co-crosslinker as component (e). Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the composition, comprising mixing the components (a)-(e) and at least one compatibility mediator as component (f), where the compatibility mediator is: a copolymer on basis of alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer as polymer backbone, which is functionalized with carboxyl groups (preferred), carbonyl groups, halogen atoms, amino groups, hydroxyl groups or oxazoline groups; and obtained by grafting alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated mono- and/or dicarboxylic acids or their derivatives on the alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate-copolymer backbone; (2) producing a thermoplastic elastomer, comprising crosslinking the composition at temperature below the high melting- or softening temperature of the component (a); and (3) the thermoplastic elastomer, obtained by the above process.</p> |
