PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc resistant insulating material that can prevent internal deterioration due to arc and can prevent wear; and to provide a circuit breaker with a nozzle formed thereof. SOLUTION: The arc resistant insulating material 10 includes a predetermined fluorine resin 20 containing 0.1-1% inorganic ultraviolet shielding material 30 based on the weight of the fluorine resin 20, wherein the shielding material is coated with a white inorganic substance free from discoloration when firing the fluorine resin 20 and heat-resistant and which is free from discoloration when firing the fluorine resin 20 and heat-resistant.
