<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user device and a cell search method, which can reduce time required for a cell search while an inter-cell synchronous operation is performed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The user device performing a cell search by using a synchronous channel has a means detecting a correlation of a secondary synchronous channel included in a synchronous signal transmitted from another base station except a base station connected based on timing information corresponding to the synchronous signal transmitted from the base station connected, and a means detecting the secondary synchronous channel based on a result of the correlation detection by the means detecting the correlation.
