<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk cartridge in which load and unload operation of an optical disk is made simple, soiling of the optical disk during loading and unloading is prevented, and entering of dust to a device is prevented. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An optical disk cartridge 1 for loading and unloading an optical disk 4 to/from an optical disk device (not illustrated) of a slot-in drive system, includes: two storing parts 2 and 3a, 3b whose cross-section forms a square cylinder shape being a slender rectangular shape having width and length with which the optical disk can be inserted slowly, the other end part of one side fitted loosely with the other end part of the other and storing respectively more than half parts of the optical disk 4; and an energizing means 5 for energizing respective storing parts so that respective other ends approach, one side of the storing parts can be separated into two parts 3a, 3b, two parts 3a, 3b are separated and displaced at front and back of a direction B each other in a state in which respective other ends are separated, the optical disk 4 is loaded to the device in a state in which respective other ends are separated, and the optical disk 4 ejected from the device is stored in a state in which respective other ends approach.
