<p>Compact resistance butt-welding machine for rails etc.. F7-. Consists of two clamps, each comprising a pair of hollow levers on a common axis, and a hydraulic mechanism to operate the two clamps and bring the two rails, held by the clamps, together for welding. The bearings of the clamps are situated in the walls of the hollow levers. The hollow levers are used to contain the hydraulic mechanisms and the welding transformers. External hydraulic connection etc., which would cause asymmetrical forces resulting in difficulty of alignment of the work pieces, are eliminated to give compact design.</p> |
