<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a cutting control method for recording paper for a printer with a cutter, whereby a cut part is prevented from being cut again. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a cutting target position M on roll paper 11 or fan fold paper 12 is located at a cutting position B and cutting is carried out, cutting execution history is created. In addition, this cutting execution history is stored and held until the recording paper 11a or fan fold paper 12 is carried. If cutting execution history is stored and held when another cutting instruction is given, cutting is not carried out. While the cut part of the recording paper 11a or fan fold paper 12 remains at a cut position B without being conveyed after the paper 11a or 12 is cut, the cutting execution history is stored and held, and accordingly, cutting is not carried out even if a cutting instruction is given during this period.
