<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal and a communication terminal, capable of appropriately controlling the amount of packets to be stored in a buffer after handover from a first network to a second network. <P>SOLUTION: The radio terminal 10 includes: a radio communication unit 11 for receiving packets at predetermined intervals via the first network or the second network; a buffer 15 for temporarily storing packets received by the receiving unit; a radio communication unit 11 for transmitting a preparation request for the handover from the first network to the second network; and an application processing unit 16 for reproducing the packets stored in the buffer 15 at predetermined speed determined in accordance with the predetermined intervals. In response to the transmission of the handover preparation request, the application processing unit 16 changes the packet reproduction speed to the one higher than the predetermined speed, thereby decreasing the amount of packets stored in the buffer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
