PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for paging in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to reduce the wireless and network resource by transceiving the data with FEMTO base station without having had in procedure. CONSTITUTION: A transceiver(1300) receives a paging message from a macro base station. According to the presence of the connectable FEMTO base station within the domain of macro base station, the controller(1310) decides whether to queue for the reception of the paging message from the FEMTO base station.
