<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanocarbon forming furnace which can mass-produce high quality nanocarbon having high purity and stability efficiently at a low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The nanocarbon forming furnace 10 is equipped with: a heating furnace chamber 11 of a reducing atmosphere; a conical metal substrate 12 arranged in the heating furnace chamber 11 to have an inclination angle concentrically with the chamber 11; a heating source arranged at the outer peripheral part of the metal substrate 12; a hydrocarbon injection nozzle 14 which is arranged at the upstream side of the heating furnace chamber 11 and sprays a hydrocarbon continuously or intermittently into the heating furnace chamber 11; and a nanocarbon discharge nozzle 17 arranged at the downstream side of the heating furnace chamber 11. In the nanocarbon forming furnace 10, nanocarbon is grown by reacting the hydrocarbon on the conical metal substrate 12 by continuously or intermittently spraying the hydrocarbon from the hydrocarbon injection nozzle 14, then grown and formed nanocarbon is exfoliated from the conical metal substrate 12, and the formed nanocarbon is discharged from the nanocarbon discharge nozzle 17.
