<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of controlling an internal combustion engine in consideration of variation of EGR gas volume among cylinders in a control device for the internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This control device for the internal combustion engine having an EGR passage for connecting an exhaust passage to an intake passage of the internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders, includes an estimation means estimating the EGR gas volume introduced to the plurality of cylinders and a determination means determining the amount of fuel injected to the cylinders or a swirl ratio of the cylinders according to the EGR gas volume estimated by the estimation means.
