Ž<P>SOLUTION: A non-radiative region 303 is disposed outside a light-emitting region 302 in which a light emitting layer emits light when a voltage is applied between a first electrode 103B and a second electrode 104, and a periodic structure 300 is formed on a substrate side 100 with respect to an organic layer 101 having at least the light emitting layer.
