<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an image device, which can reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A light emission period for performing the light emission in a light-emitting element and a non-light emission period for stopping the light emission in the light-emitting element are alternately repeated. In the non-light emission period, a terminal-to-terminal voltage having a retention volume is set to a voltage corresponding to a signal line drive signal by the control of a writing transistor by a writing signal and the light emission brightness of the light-emitting element in the following light emission period is set. When image data has no change, a scanning line drive circuit stops the control of the writing transistor by the writing signal, to sustain the writing transistor in an off state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
