<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing gate making a crossing rod stop by itself in a tilting rotation angle area between a horizontal position and a vertical position when power supply is stopped, without using a balance weight. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Only by the elastic energy of two sets of torsion coil springs 6a, 6b energizing the crossing rod 5 to opposite sides each other, when the power supply of driving power of the crossing rod is stopped, if the crossing rod is at a rotation angle on the horizontal position side rather than a tilting predetermined rotation angle area between the horizontal position and the vertical position, the crossing rod is raised to the predetermined rotation angle area. If the crossing rod is at a rotation angle on the vertical position side rather than the predetermined rotation angle area, the crossing rod is lowered to the predetermined rotation angle area to stop the crossing rod in the predetermined rotation angle area. The spring 6a always keeps lowering side energizing torque, and meanwhile, the other spring 6b does not keep rising side energizing torque energizing the crossing rod to a rising side at the vertical position of the crossing rod, and the energizing torque can be easily adjusted by moving a movable action point 10m.
