PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the form of a counter into a high counter or a low counter according to a change in layout or relocation without any need of a special member separately, and to improve the external appearance. SOLUTION: This counter apparatus is configured to removably mount a high counter unit 10 on a low counter top board 6, and to be used as a low counter 5, when no high counter unit is mounted, and to be used as the high counter, when the high counter unit is mounted. The high counter unit includes at least a high counter top board 12 and a support body 11 for supporting the high counter top board. The low counter top board and the support body of the high counter unit are connected with a connecting fitting 18 disposed at a wire insertion hole 9 of the low counter top board so as to removably mount the high counter unit on the low counter top board.
