METHOD FOR PRODUCING ONIUM SALT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an onium salt required to have high purity in a high yield by using a small amount of a solvent or without using a solvent. SOLUTION: A synthesized onium salt is melted at a temperature above the melting point or dissolved in a small amount of a solvent and purified by applying a pressure of 50-500 MPa. The production method includes the following steps: (step 1) the synthesis of an onium salt; (step 2) the melting or dissolution of the onium salt; (step 3) the recrystallization of the onium salt by applying high pressure; and (step 4) the filtration of the onium salt crystal while decreasing the pressure.
