<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress decrease in pump efficiency and reduction of a pump life while easily filling hydraulic fluid into a space between each gear and the outer wall of a gear storage chamber, in a gear pump introducing the hydraulic fluid into the gear storage chamber in a body from a suction opening formed in a tangent direction in the engagement pitch circle of a pair of gears stored in the body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this gear pump P, the pair of gears composed of a drive gear 2 and a driven gear 3 engaged with each other is stored in the gear storage chamber 11a inside of the body 11, and the hydraulic fluid is introduced into the gear storage chamber 11a from the suction opening 11d formed in the tangent direction in the engagement pitch circle of the pair of gears. A partition 8 having a function of guiding a hydraulic fluid flow after dispersion toward a suction passage 11f and a boundary with the gear storage chamber 11a while dispersing the hydraulic fluid flow is provided in the suction passage 11f between the suction opening 11d and the pair of gears.
