PURPOSE:To maintain accurately an optimum space between a flexible disk and a magnetic head by forming at least one line of concentric circular grooves at a flat part on the surface opposite to a flexible disk. CONSTITUTION:A surface 50 of a magnetic head supporter 3 which is opposite to a flexible disk 1 contains a flat part 12 extending toward the radius from the center of a magnetic head 2 and in parallel to the surface of the disk 1 and an externally sloping part 13. The circular grooves 14 are formed at the part 12. A high-speed air current 40 which gets into the groove 14 having small contact resistance and is accelerated and decompressed functions to pull down the disk 1 toward an arrow E against an air current functioning to push up the disk 1 toward an arrow D and as shown by an arrow C' among those air currents flowing into the area between the disk 1 and the counter surface 50. Thus it is possible to maintain accurately an optimum space between the disk 1 and the head 2. |
