<p>The system (1) has a position controller (11) pneumatically coupled to a positioning drive (13). A process control system (3) generates and transmits a set-point signal for a positioning member. A safety controller (5) generates a safety signal that causes the member to automatically move into a predetermined safety position. The process control system and the safety controller are coupled with respect to signal transmission so that the set-point signal is transmitted via the safety controller and a signal transmission path that couples the position controller with the safety controller. An independent claim is also included for a method for setting a positioning member.</p> |
