PURPOSE: A display device is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by reducing memory component required to delay the previous frame to the extraction time of the motion vector of the current frame. CONSTITUTION: A motion estimator(610) comprises a luminance/color difference separation unit(620), a motion vector extractor(630), a motion vector memory(640) and a caption scroll Explorer(650). The luminance/color difference separation unit divides the video signal of n-1th frame and the video signal of nth frame into the luminance component and the chrominance component, respectively. The motion vector extractor produces the motion vector of the same object by comparing the luminance component of the video signal of n-1th frame and the luminance component of the video signal of nth frame. The motion vector memory stores the motion vector. The caption scroll Explorer and a motion vector offset unit(680) read out the motion vector of the previous frame from the motion vector memory. A motion compensator(690) generates the interpolated frame using the offset motion vector.
