<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, even when access rights are set in units of folder and document, a user having the access right for the document to access the document without inputting a password. <P>SOLUTION: When a valid password is input, a decrypted document obtained by decrypting an encrypted document contained in a holder to which the access right is set and a reference image of the encrypted document are formed in the holder in association with the encrypted document. When a reference request for a document within the holder is received from the user having the access right to the holder, the reference image is displayed on a requesting source terminal. When an acquisition request for storage of a document in the holder is received from the user having the access right to the holder, the encrypted document is transmitted to the requesting source terminal.
