Ž<P>SOLUTION: A flow rate measurement apparatus includes: a flow rate measuring means provided with an inactive state for reducing the power consumption and an active state for measuring the flow rate in a gas flow path 5 after a transition from the inactive state; a pressure fluctuation detecting means 11 for detecting a fluctuation in a pressure in the gas flow path 5; and a trigger generating means 12 for outputting a trigger signal for facilitating the transition from the inactive state to the active state in the flow rate measuring means in response to the fluctuation in the pressure detected by the pressure fluctuation detecting means 11.
