PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly humidifier capable of reducing trouble caused by a sound warning means when a water level detection means is operated and a user replenishes water in a water tank and instructs humidifying operation again, and of issuing warning to urge replenishment of water to the water tank by the sound warning means and a display warning means when the user instructs the humidifying operation again without replenishing water to the water tank. SOLUTION: In the humidifier having a control part for issuing warning to urge replenishment of water to the water tank by the sound warning means and a display warning means by operation of the water level detection means, when a user instructs humidifying operation again after the water level detection means is operated and the humidifying operation is stopped, the control part issues warning by using only the display warning means for a predetermined time from start of the humidifying operation. After the predetermined time passes, if it is detected by the water level detection means that the water level in the water tank is below a predetermined water level, the control part issues the warning by using the sound warning means and display warning means and stops the humidifying operation.
