PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact device which simply carries out supply of an ink (liquid) to a liquid ejecting head and discharge (circulation) from the liquid ejecting head. SOLUTION: The liquid supply device has a line head 20 which can eject the supplied ink from a nozzle, an ink cartridge 30 in which the ink ejected by the line head 20 is stored, a transfer pump 50 for transferring the ink stored in the ink cartridge 30, a supply pipe 87 arranged to supply the ink transferred by the transfer pump 50 to a supply port 20a formed in the line head 20, a discharge pipe 88 arranged to discharge the ink in the line head 20 from a discharge opening 20b formed on the opposite side of the supply port 20a, and a three-way valve 60 which can switch a channel led from the ink cartridge 30 towards the transfer pump 50 and a channel led from the discharge pipe 88 towards the transfer pump 50.
