<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-button switch for an emergency stop preventing immediate restoration action of a push-button and a contact unit even if locking of the push-button is released by mistake by unintended operation or the like, in regard to a push-button switch with the push-button axially locked in a push-in position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An operation part of the push-button switch includes the push-button, a push rod for carrying out opening and closing operation of a switch unit axially connected to the push-button so as to move freely, and a driving spring provided so as to constantly push the push rod in the axial direction. A lock mechanism locking the push-button includes a first securing means for securing the push rod in a standby position, a second securing means for securing the push rod pushed-in in conjunction with push in operation of the push-button in the push-in position, and a restoration means for returning the push rod to the standby position in conjunction with restoration operation of the push-button.
