<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can simultaneously discriminate a unit and detect the presence or absence of the unit, in which the unit is freely detachably mounted. <P>SOLUTION: A container detection module 31 is comprised of a cover member 35, a movable member 37, a PI sensor 39 and a coil spring 40. Slide regulation claws 42a-42d are provided in the movable member 37, and the movable member 37 can be slidable with respect to the cover member 35 by the elastic deformations of all of the slide regulation claws 42a-42d by projections 33a-33d and slides in the arrow A direction against an energizing force of the coil spring 40 accompanied by the insertion of a toner container 5K. When the toner container 5K is inserted into a prescribed position, a flag 43 interrupts a detection part 39a of the PI sensor 39 and the mounting of the toner container 5K is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
