PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candidate output program and a candidate output server, allowing easy setting of authentication information. SOLUTION: This candidate output program 21 of the authentication information executed in the candidate output server 1 accessable from a terminal 3 via a communication network 5 makes the candidate output server 1 function as: an authentication information table 22 storing the authentication information corresponding to a use user of the terminal 3; an authentication candidate generation means 13 randomly generating a plurality of character strings, each of which is a candidate of the authentication information, except a character string according with the authentication information stored in the authentication information table 22; and a character string output means 14 outputting the plurality of character strings generated by the authentication candidate generation means 13 to the terminal 3.
