<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an inclination can not be detected only by printing a pattern and finding the distance between two patterns on a form for detecting the inclination of a carriage in the height direction. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation device includes the carriage 5 wherein a recording head 6 having nozzles for discharging a droplet is installed and scanned with movement in the main scan direction, a means for forming an inclination detecting pattern (dot Dp) for detecting the inclination of the carriage in the height direction against a form conveyance surface in the main scan direction, a reading sensor 30 which is installed in the carriage 5 and reads the dot Dp, and a means for detecting the inclination of the carriage 5 in the height direction by comparing the distance from a reference point of the carriage 5 in the main scan direction up to the point where the dot Dp is detected by the reading sensor 30 with a predetermined distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
