<p>The steel contains the usual elements of the 18-10 type-namely =0.15% C 0.5-2.0% Mn, 0.2-1.0% Si, =0.05% P, 8-15% Ni, 15-20% Cr and in addition 0.10-0.30% pref. 0.14-0.16% S and 0.05-0.25% pref. 0.15-0.17% Se. For max. corrosion resistance the Se: S ratio is pref. 1:2 whilst for best machinability S+Se = 7 x 10-3g atoms. per 100 g of steel.</p> |
