PURPOSE: A food waste processor is provided to prevent bad smell by completely blocking an outlet of a dehydrating container by a cutter when a transfer screw is not operated, and to more efficiently collect and process the food waste. CONSTITUTION: A food waste processor comprises the following: a drying unit; a dehydrating container; a transfer screw compressing and transferring food waste; a cutter(50) cutting the discharged food waste; a cutter location detecting plate(60) including one or more slit(61); a photodetector(73) and an emitting device arranged on each location; an actuator driving the transfer screw; and a control unit outputting an actuator control signal.
