<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of setting an echo sound in a plurality of positions in simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A monaural echo generation unit 13 of an echo device 1 outputs a first echo signal by delaying a source sound signal input to an input terminal 11 just for a delay time t1. A multi-tap delay circuit 14 outputs a plurality of second echo signals by delaying the first echo signal output from the monaural echo generation unit 13 just for delay times t21, t22, ..., t2n. A delay circuit 16 outputs a third echo signal by delaying the plurality of second echo signals output from the multi-tap delay circuit 14 just for a delay time t3, respectively. Gain controllers 173L, 173R amplify the second echo signals output from the multi-tap delay circuit 14, respectively, and output the amplified second echo signals to mixing circuits 18L, 18R, respectively.
