<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique that efficiently generates a synthetic image which is to be displayed on a display means. <P>SOLUTION: In the image display apparatus, a developing means 712 develops only the layer images specified by a layer image specifying means 716 and a rewrite layer image. Then a cache image generating means 713 newly generates cache images C1 to C3, based on the developed layer images and on all cache images obtained, by excluding specified cache images from cache images C1 to C3 stored in a cache memory 78. Thus, by having the cache images C1 to C3 newly generated by being developed into a raster format, only some layer images from among the rewrite layer image for rewriting and layer images L1 to L9 stored in a layer image storage means 77, and the newly generated cache images C1 to C3 are synthesized by a synthesizing means 714, to thereby generate a composite image very efficiently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
