<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic cassette which is easy-to-handle and configured to prevent a subject from having a feeling of discomfort while suppressing deterioration of components due to heat. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic cassette 12 is handled by attaching a handle 13 to either one of side surfaces 20A and 20B on which the handle 13 can be attached. When an opening part 60 on either one of the side surfaces 20A and 20B where the handle 13 is attached is opened, air circulates through the opening part 60 and the air blows against the components in a housing 12 to cool them. Since a person who handles the electronic cassette 12 accesses the electronic cassette 12 through the handle 13, the air blow caused by the air circulating the opening part 60 blows against the person who handles the electronic cassette 12, while hardly blows against the subject. Consequently, there is provided the electronic cassette 12 which is easy-to-handle and configured to prevent a subject from having a feeling of discomfort while suppressing deterioration of components due to heat.
