<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film in which curling is prevented enough in the end parts in the width direction of the film and a method for producing the film. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the film, an end part heating process in which a solution containing a polymeric material is cast on a support and dried, and the outside surfaces 100a and 100b of the curling parts 13a and 13b curved in the end parts in the width direction of the film 12 are heated after the film is peeled off is implemented.
