The method involves providing a correction process for each coded weather classification and each weather-physical size of forecasted general weather situation meteorological data. The correction process is assigned to a date window which covers scheduled successive periods of a year. The individual meteorological data is regularly compared with a local weather-physical data. The correction process is applied in case of the deviation, and the meteorological data is adapted to local conditions by optimized correction process. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for providing a several day lasting forecast in a specific defined place.
