PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum circuit breaker that further reduces the depth dimension of a switch gear for receiving and distributing power that uses a vacuum circuit breaker as a constituent element. SOLUTION: The vacuum circuit breaker 1 includes a carriage 3 on which an operating part 6 and a cutoff part 4 are placed, and a control plug 2 which allows a connector 5 of a control cable connected to a switch gear to be inserted and removed thereto/therefrom. The control plug 2 is provided at a ceiling plate 7a of a case 7, storing the operating part 6 so that its connection port is directed vertically upward.
