PURPOSE: A preparation method of polyethylene naphthalate polymer is provided to shorten reaction time, to improve processing efficiency, and to suppress the generation of by-products. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of polyethylene naphthalate polymer comprises the steps of: injecting slurry containing ethylene glycol and 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid in the presence of a prepolymer consisting of 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol; performing esterification; and performing polycondensation by adding a polymerization catalyst to the resultant in a vacuum condition.
